I did manage to catch glimpses of the blossoms before they passed; my apartment complex is full of them and my parents' neighborhood (where I spent most of April doggysitting) is also lined with cherry trees. Which is good for me, since I didn't have time nor the energy to haul my exhausted self to the flower festivals this year.

Lanterns are up for the upcoming Buddha's Birthday on May 10th.
I still have a bunch of personal winter posts that are waiting in folders in my computer but it seems kind of silly to write them up now, with spring fully here.
You never know. I might get in a contrary mood and post them anyway.
Hoping for some free time in May for serious wining and dining - haven't had much occasion in April.

How lovely to be surrounded by the Spring blossoms, I am so enjoying the sunshine at the moment (the rain...not so much, but at least it makes for pretty Spring growth afterwards).
And I say - post about Winter! I am completely behind on my blog too, I've got stacks of photos and draft posts laying about. Remember that half of the world is just about to go in to their cold months, so it's still kind of relevant, right?
Ah, great point. Half of the world is indeed approaching winter, right? I can be so close minded at times.
Hope you're enjoying the long holidays. I'm pretty sure summer will hit us in a flash afterwards.

The flowers are so pretty and it would boost up anyone's mood to walk along the boulevards.
Once on the ground, the rain either sinks into the ground. Flows into rivers and lakes. In a short period of time a lot of rain flows in streams instead of soaking the soil.
